Following the success of the first edition of the guide, visit.brussels, in collaboration with 4 Brussels designers, is publishing a second edition of the original guide for design, styling and aesthetic aficionados. It is a great way to get off the beaten track and discover original and authentic addresses. The ‘Brussels by designers’ guide is on sale at €8.50 at the reception desk of visit.brussels and in several Brussels bookshops.

New: Sustainable Brussels Tour
At the end of last year, two active start-uppers in innovation and sustainability launched the Sustainable Brussels Walking Tour: a trendy and offbeat visit with a modern theme that presents Brussels as a sustainable city. Through the visit, that takes place one Saturday per month, you can learn about several sustainable projects, citizens prioritising the circular economy and local initiatives. The guide will take you to the centre of Brussels, the Canal, Molenbeek and Tour & Taxis. Group visit in English from €18 per person or private tours on request (available in French, Dutch or English).
Free guided tours aboard an old tram.
In honour of 150 years of the tram, professional guides will guide you aboard an old tram through Brussels. The tour will depart from Place Poelaert on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May and will be in French, English and Dutch. The tour will last approximately 2.5 hours and will include a stop at the exhibition near the place Royale. A free and unique event to learn about the heritage of public transport from an expert. Toerisme Vlaanderen, Plein Publiek, DUVEL-MOORTGAT and CREATE.eu join forces to pay homage to Bruegel, 450 years after his death, through a contemporary experience at the Palais de la Dynastie. Plein Publiek BXL will offer a wide range of brunches, concerts, jazz and dance evenings, vintage markets, fashion shows, workshops, private sales, ... The greenhouse will host, a trendy bar and restaurant, run by the young chef Gilles Melchior, which reinterprets classic Flemish dishes. Furthermore, a multimedia exhibition will draw the public into the imaginary world of the master.
Musée René Magritte & Musée d’Art Abstrait belge
In June 2019, an adjoining extension to the René Magritte museum in Jette will honour Belgian abstracts. The addition of this wing will offer visitors a journey between two avant-garde movements: surrealism and abstraction. Waterbus: season opening
